Presuppositional Apologetics Bible Classes

A beginner's introduction for showing the vindication of the Christian faith from Scripture.

Presuppositional apologetics is the method that begins with the lordship of Christ rather than treating Him as a conclusion to be argued toward. Rather than meeting the unbeliever on supposedly neutral ground, we sanctify Christ as Lord in our reasoning and show that He alone is the foundation for knowledge, logic, science, and morality.

Sermon Series Gospel of Mark Verse-by-Verse

For generations, Christians have proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, across the world. This Gospel has been believed, preached, defended, vindicated, and cherished by the people of God, even at great personal cost. Many have suffered, and many have died, holding fast to its truth as the very power of God for salvation.

But have you ever stopped to consider John the Baptist’s place in the foundational moments of that Gospel? Why does Mark begin with John’s ministry? Why does John’s baptism matter? And why did Jesus later point back to John’s baptism when confronting those who challenged His authority, asking whether it was “from heaven or from men”?

Pastor Jay will examine these questions and more as we continue our study in the Gospel of Mark.

After walking carefully through Mark 1:1–8 verse-by-verse, we have now moved into Mark 1:9–11. Join us as we work through these verses and deepen our understanding of God’s redemptive plan in Christ.

This Week's Question Is Highlighted

Each week, we spend about 10 minutes learning one of the key truths of the Christian faith. Many doctrines, words, and ideas are familiar to us because we hear them often in church, but familiarity does not always mean understanding. Even believers who have been in church for many years can benefit from slowing down and considering what these truths mean biblically and why they matter.

That is the purpose of our Q&A, or catechism, time. We want to grow together in our understanding of the faith once for all delivered to the saints.

Join us each week as we unpack these essential truths. We will come back to each subject more than once so it has time to settle in, and we will keep adding new topics as we continue.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him. In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
Ephesians 1:3–6 (NASB)
What We Teach — Quick Summary

We exist for the purpose of glorifying the true and living God, the creator of all things, and for the equipping of His people, the saints, and to make known the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who are perishing.

We teach what God has said in His Word. As a result, we are Christian and Biblical. Though we could stop there, more specificity is generally necessary. Thus, we are also Reformed, Baptistic, and Trinitarian. It goes without saying that we affirm the Trinity, for to deny the Triune God is to reject the very essence of Christianity itself. Yet, we stress this truth because it concerns who God is. Get this wrong, and one’s understanding the Gospel will be in error.
